I drew this on my friend oekaki bbs. As 17th May is my birthday, I wanted to draw something.
Australia is going to fall now, the moon is beautiful at night.
We Japanese enjoy Otsukimi(It means watching the moon) in fall. I love it.
There is a famous old story that is called 'Taketori Monogatari' in Japan(It was written in 8th century.). It is about Kaguya who was born in the bamboo and returned to the moon. She was a princess of the moon.
So, Starfire is in Japanese traditional costume in this picture. This is because her eyebrows remind me of old Japanese eyebrow style in Heian era(731~806).Also she is a princess of Tamaran.(I forgot how to spell her planet name....)

Oh wow, this is lovely. Happy Birthday! Starfire looks so pretty as a Japanese princess. Believe it or not, I have also heard of the story of Kaguya, the moon princess. Anyway, beautiful job on this picture.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.

We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
